National Parks have an incomparable role in helping us experience the redemptive power of nature, and in sharing a nation’s beauty with the world.  I have recently joined Paint the Parks, an organization that puts artists who love the parks in touch with art collectors who share this passion.

These framed pastel paintings are from Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island of Hawaii, Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, and Big Bend National Park in Texas. They were painted in my Texas studio from cell phone photos. Ten percent of the purchase price of each painting will be donated to the National Park Foundation. Paint the Parks is an international quest to support the parks by creating art. “In every walk with nature, one receives more than he seeks.” –John Muir
